Last month was June.
And, as it neared its end, you might have heard a drum-roll. The drum-roll of people telling you that the first half of 2023 was about to end and that you were in danger of annihilation unless you bought their stuff right then.
Otherwise, you’d be among the “99%” who’d fail unless you buy their stuff.
If you bought their stuff you could “10x” your performance for the second half of the year
I can only think they come out with all this crap because people fall for it.
June 30th is just an arbitrary date. Same as New Year’s Day. Same as the end or beginning of all 4 quarters of the year.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m all in favour of quarterly planning – I’ve a system of doing it myself and I encourage my clients to use the exact same system.
But there’s no magic wand that will skyrocket you to success just because you bought something before the end of June.
Sudden success happens once in a blue moon.
The proactive use of hard work, focus & discipline will give you a much better chance of success.
Aristotle is reputed to have said: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.“
He didn’t actually say it. But that doesn’t take away from its value.
But it’s a less attractive idea, isn’t it? The shiny object sounds better. The silver bullet sounds better.
But we live in the real world. Where you’ll progress if you:
- Identity what’s important.
- Work on that.
- Reflect on your results and tweak as required.
If you want help with that sort of (unspectacular) approach, I can help you. If you want a greater sense of clarity, focus & control. I can help you. And such help can begin any day.
