Have you heard of the book “The One Thing“?

    Here’s the full title: “The One Thing – The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results“, by Gary Keller with Jay Papasan.

    Just before its half-way mark it posed what the authors called the Focussing Question:

    What’s the One Thing I can do such by doing it everything else will be easier or unnecessary?

    That’s it!  There’s your summary! 

    Ok – of course there’s a lot of background on why it’s such a powerful question.  When to ask it?  How often?  In what spheres?  Etc.  And I do recommend the book – I just finished it and I loved it.  But you can now leverage its core message without needing to read it all.

    Look at your business.  Today, what is your One Thing?

    Get a good CRM system to make your client and prospect engagement more effective?

    Fill that position?

    Fire that employee?

    Narrow your target market?

    You will know best what that One Thing is for your business. Go for it!
